I had a slow 2016, so it was nice to get back to top form in 2017. I will admit, working from home allowed me to listen to several audiobooks (almost 30%). So, in a way, I cheated. At least I'm transparent! By the way, I highly recommend listening to audiobook memoirs read by the author.
2017 was a big year for winning books on Goodreads (read: how I do it). My wins, combined with the easy-to-follow-while-working audiobooks, made for a fluffier year of reading than I'm used to. And if I'm honest, watching the news and reading my Twitter feed stressed me out so I shied away from sad stories or dystopian futures.

You've read a ton of books! The only one I've read from what you've posted is The Help, which I loved. I used to go on Goodreads all the time. Maybe I should revitalize my activity on there! - Katie Bangs
