Thing-A-Day 7: trekking Columbus

Today Alex and I went on a mini vacation in Columbus (yes, we live there). We started with the Ohio Craft Museum for their showcase of wood turned forms. Not only was it a great collection, but the museum was super busy!

After the craft museum, we headed to the Columbus Museum of Art for Chihuly Illuminated.

At the museum we were able to play with some blocks. Does this also count as my thing-a-day?

When we left the museum, we took a tour of the King-Lincoln District, ate lunch in Bexely, visited the Topiary Garden downtown, and headed to German Village for a little Cup O Joe and Book Loft-ing. It was a really fun day... kind of felt like we were visitors from out of town. I highly recommend doing something similar wherever you live!

  1. I love the topiary garden! It is so pretty in the summer. We went there once in the rain.. not good! We've never been to the other museums that you mentioned.
