Today, while browsing Olena Shmahalo's portfolio site I can across this great wire bird. (You can find it under "Three Dimensional.")A few years ago I took a fused glass class and used wire in some of my compositions (like this). I'm not sure why I was so intimidated by wire before then. I was so surprised by how easy it was to make something cool with a material so basic. Shmahalo's bird takes it to another level. I want to make one right now!
