Friday Five: Things I Love

Happy Friday! It's been a month since I've been able to participate in a Friday Five. Last weekend marked my last long run for a few months (my next half is in February) and I've been taking it easy. This week's theme with Mar, Courtney, and Cynthia is Five Things I Love. (Remember to check out their blogs and wish them a happy two year linkup-iversary!)

A quick look at some of my (current) loves:

Fall Hiking / Camping
I love hiking year round, but the crunchy leaves are such a bonus in the fall. I'm sad Alex and I haven't had time for a fall hike or a camping trip. I'm hoping to make time this weekend, but it's not looking good... maybe November. Sigh.

Lazy Sundays
We're getting into the season where my weekends aren't as full and I'm able to lounge around and be completely lazy on Sundays. A perfect lazy day includes sleeping in til 9, maybe watching CBS Sunday Morning, a tasty breakfast, reading, a mid-afternoon nap, snuggling up with my doggy, and popcorn and wine while watching a movie with Alex.

Reading
I haven't been reading nearly as much this year, but I love when I find the perfect book and don't want to put it down until I'm finished.

Hot Drinks
This time of year marks my transition to hot drinks. I love our one-cup Hot Shot at home. My favorite teas are Bigelow Vanilla Chai and Twinings English Breakfast. I also love Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa.

Pumpkin Seeds
Kind of random, I know. I just read a short story where the main character roasted pumpkin seeds and remembered how tasty they are. Pumpkin seeds are a staple in my road trip snack pack, but I loooove seeds from a fresh pumpkin.

What's on your list of loves?

  1. I'm with you I love camping in the fall, we bought a motorhome just over a year ago and have truly had a ball in it! I do love me some pumpkin seeds too, I discovered these last year, I know where have I been? But they are great and something I am loving right now!

  2. I do like hot drinks now that it has been getting chilly out during the evenings. My new favorite is pumpkin spice chai tea.....yum!
